Hey, I’m Eric Gillette.

I’m a Senior Creative Editor with 15+ years of experience creating commercials, branded content, social campaigns, and digital storytelling for globally recognized brands including Ford, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, The UPS Store, Hungry Howie’s, and more.

From broadcast spots seen by millions to fast-paced social content built to stop the scroll, I’ve spent my career crafting work that connects with people emotionally while delivering results for brands.

My love for editing started early. Growing up, I became obsessed with skate videos after watching my older brother and his friends piece footage together using a camera and VHS recorder. The idea that you could capture moments, shape emotion, and create something cinematic from everyday life completely hooked me. From that point on, I was always behind a camera or editing videos for friends, constantly experimenting and learning.

I went on to study at Columbia College Chicago, where I refined my storytelling and post-production skills while interning at Fox, NBC, and Cutters. After graduating, I worked at Playboy Enterprises and rEvolution Sports Marketing before eventually returning to Detroit in 2015 to dive deeper into the commercial creative world.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with directors, producers, writers, designers, and brands to bring ideas to life across broadcast, social, digital, and experiential platforms. My background spans everything from narrative editing and motion graphics to color, sound design, and AI-driven creative workflows.

Today, I’m passionate about pushing storytelling forward through emerging technology and creative experimentation. I actively integrate AI tools into my workflow to help develop “shootless” commercials, concept visuals, motion design, and new forms of content creation — while still keeping strong storytelling at the center of everything I make.

At the end of the day, I love creating work that feels human, cinematic, and memorable.

Let’s make something great.
